Course Description
The Jungle Run Half Marathon consists of a 13.1-mile run/walk that starts and finishes in Los Gatos at the Los Gatos High School Track. The course extends North through the streets of Los Gatos and onto the scenic Los Gatos Creek Trail at the Los Gatos Creek County Park in Campbell. Athletes will enjoy creek-side views on their way back into Los Gatos and into breathtaking Vasona Park. After a small loop around Vasona Lake, athletes will continue South on the Los Gatos Creek Trail into Old Town Los Gatos. From there, it’s a short out and back on the unpaved portion of the trail. The turn around takes place before the Dam (and the hills!). Runners then retrace their steps back to the finish line festivities on the Los Gatos High School track.
Due to heavy beach traffic in town the 2016 Course will be different then the Turn-By-Turn Listed Below. We will return to the old course in 2017.
Turn-By-Turn
- Start on New York Ave. adjacent to the track
- Up New York to Bella Vista
- Right turn onto Caldwell
- Left turn onto Los Gatos Blvd.
- Left turn onto Nino Ave.
- Right turn onto Fisher Ave.
- Left turn onto Roberts Rd.
- Left turn onto Blossom Hill Rd.
- Right turn onto Winchester Blvd.
- Right turn onto Knowles Dr.
- Becomes Dell Ave.
- Return turn into the Los Gatos Creek County Park
- Onto Los Gatos Creek Trail
- Through Vasona Park
- Continue on path to Old Town Los Gatos
- Right turn past the Forbes Mill (becomes dirt)
- Continue on path approx. 3/4 miles to turn around
- Back to Forbes Mill and into High School
- Finish on the track
The course will be managed at a 15 minute per mile pace.
Aid Stations
Aid stations will begin at mile 3 and will be located approximately every two miles as follows:
- Start Zone (Water)
- Station 1 on Winchester (Water)
- Station 2 in County Park (Water, Gulp & Go Gell)
- Station 3 in Vasona (Water, Cytomax Electrolyte)
- Station 4 on Creek Trail (Water, Cytomax Electrolyte)
- Station 5 on Creek Trail (Water, Cytomax Electrolyte)
- Finish Line on Los Gatos High Track (Water & foods)

Race results will be posted near the finish line and online from the Results Page of the event website following the event.
